The NCETM has published a report into the progress and impact of the Teaching for Mastery Programme in primary schools since it began in 2015. By the end of the 2018/19 school year, more than 5,000 schools had participated in the programme—a figure due to rise to over 8,000 by summer 2020.

Yorkshire and the Humber Maths Hub have recently been praised by Ofsted for their Teaching for Mastery programme.

The Yorkshire and the Humber Maths Hub, led by the Outwood Institute of Education (OIE), has undergone an expansion of its leadership team.

This work group will give you the opportunity to learn with and from other colleagues that have taken part in a Teaching for Mastery Work group and begun the journey within their school towards a TfM approach. The focus will be on collaboratively planning and working with the NCETM Mastery Professional Development Materials and DfE approved text books to improve your confidence with lesson design.
