The Advanced Mathematics Support Programme (AMSP) continues to add to its collection of five-minute videos showcasing the maths in different careers. A materials engineer and a would-be astronaut are featured in the latest additions.

Colleagues at MEI have produced a position paper, on England’s current systems of curriculum and assessment in mathematics at Key Stages 4 and 5, with proposals for how they might be improved.

The Joint Mathematical Council (JMC) is conducting a survey about how digital technologies are being used by teachers of maths and numeracy in all UK educational settings. It should take no longer than 5-10 minutes to complete, and the results will be used to inform their advice to policymakers. You can take part by clicking the button below:

The Centre for Early Mathematics Learning was launched at the beginning of June. It will study mathematics development in the Early Years and Key Stage 1. You can find out more and sign up for updates below:
