Ready for some high quality maths CPD for this academic year?

Over 30 projects offer schools and teachers a variety of professional development options!

Details of all opportunities for schools and colleagues to work with Maths Hubs and the NCETM in 2022/23 are available on our website pages.

Whatever your current position, there’s something for your own professional development or to develop maths teaching across your department or school. Professional development projects are aimed at teachers in all school and college phases, from Early Years to post-16.

All the CPD is fully funded by Maths Hubs. In some cases, there is extra financial support to subsidise teachers’ time out of class. In most cases, participating in a project will involve joining a small group of teachers in a local Work Group, led by an expert in maths-specific professional development. The Work Group meets and collaborates regularly – both face-to-face and online – over the course of a term or a year. This distinguishes the experience significantly from attending a one-off workshop or conference.

As before, this year the majority of openings for schools centre on teaching for mastery, helping teachers and schools introduce and embed mastery approaches in maths classrooms and all planning activity. There are also complementary projects looking at specialist knowledge for teaching maths, GCSE, Core Maths, A level Maths, and how ITT providers can support those training to teach maths.
