Teachers Helping Teachers
The NCETM has made lots of useful resources available to support teachers and schools planning and delivering maths teaching in schools and remotely at both primary and secondary level.
All of these resources are accessible from the dedicated Covid support page on the NCETM website.
As a profession we have adapted quickly to the changing demands and numerous teachers are going above and beyond to share resources and tips for remote teaching with colleagues around the country.
Following a meeting with our Local Leaders in Maths Education (LLME), the Yorkshire and the Humber Maths Hub were able to share an abundance of handy hints, tips and resources to help each other along. As a collective group, we achieved so much!
The NCETM has now tried to make a small contribution to this collaborative atmosphere by passing on, via their own Twitter account, a couple of examples a day of generous offers that they have spotted.
So far, this has included:
Activities for use in lessons
Getting the most out of technology
Promoting student interaction and marking their work
An opportunity to share maths yourself on Twitter using the #MathsTeachingIdeas hashtag.
