First Joint Hubs’ Conference Announced

The Outwood Institute of Education (OIE) has announced that it will be holding its first ever joint English Hub and Maths Hub conference.

Members of the Outwood English Hub and the Yorkshire and the Humber Maths Hub will be joined by expert speakers to help attendees consider effective strategies to raise attainment in their own setting.

The Hubs’ Conference 2020 will take place at The Principal York on Wednesday 8th July from 9:00am to 4:00pm.

The Keynote Speakers for the conference in York have been confirmed as Ruth Miskin, CBE, and Charlie Stripp, MBE.

Catherine Wright, Outwood English Hub Lead, said:

“This is sure to be an exciting event, where attendees will be able to learn more about raising the standards of English in their own school or academy and ensuring it stays high, consistently.” 

Kathryn Greenhalgh, Yorkshire and the Humber Maths Hub Lead, said:

“We are delighted to be co-hosting this event. It is a great opportunity for school leaders to learn more about successful and effective strategies for improving the standard of maths in their own school or academy.”
