Cultivating Mathematical Mastery

Serving a complex community with high levels of economic deprivation, Moor End Academy is unwaveringly ambitious for its pupils' progress. To meet a broad range of student starting points, the academy's mathematics department partnered with the Maths Hub—a collaboration that has proven invaluable over the last eight years.

Initiated through an SSIF (Strategic School Improvement Fund) project, this partnership has driven a complete evolution of the school's maths curriculum. By engaging with mastery advocate and Professional Development (PD) lead programmes, Moor End Academy has moved away from isolated teaching methods toward a collaborative, research-informed approach.
